Today we have released an enhancement to allow the creation of custom team member types which increase the flexibility of the type of roles a trip needs to be successful. Each role can have its own application, own background check requirement, references requirement and can be considered invite only so they do not show up publicly to apply for.
Creating a team member type is as simple as filling out a little information about the role. An application can be attached to the specific team member type. The application is a selection box instead of an ad-hoc application builder. After research, we found that it is more efficient to create the applications first and then bring them into the different trips as needed.
For the team member types that are invite only, an invite code will be provided. This code can be used during the registration process to register as that specific team member type.
When applying for a trip, if there are multiple team member types available to register for, the registrant will be prompted to select the role that defines how they want to register. This is also where they can choose to use an invite code that they may have been provided for those invite only roles.
Enhancing the trip for multiple team member types will allow for more flexible ways to get interest for the trip and will allow us to bring more team member type specific functionality into the product in the future.
